Doggie Went A-Courtin’: an adaptation to a traditional song
By: Angel Wheeler
Illustrator: Nicolas Lonprez

Children’s Picture Book
Cute adaptation from a long-time favorite song. In saying that, however, I wanted to be able to kind of sing it as I read it. When I tried, I couldn’t. It kind of made me sad.
From a children’s book standpoint, though, it was cute. The illustrations were beautiful and the book would be good for any child that loves rhyming stories and/or songs.

The one thing that was rather difficult for me, though, was the small black print in the written part. If I may make a suggestion, find a different color font and a bigger font or put the black print into a small white box. Other than that, the book was cute. Thank you to Ms. Wheeler for introducing this book to me.

Happy Reading,
Bethanie
